Himinioðurr was primarily inspired by the wind and the sky. It was written on a blustery day as a means of escape, and a way to calm the soul. An accompaniment to rain on the window, wind through bending reeds, and a comforting cup of tea whilst sheltering in reprieve from the elements. The full version of the track started life as this minimalist piano piece. It was written and designed to leave space for the listener to hear details in the world around them, in turn allowing the context of the track to change with the surrounding environment.
